How it works: Applebee’s offers two fundraising programs: Dining to Donate and Flapjack Fundraiser.
Through Dining to Donate, group members, friends, families, and neighbors can dine in or carry out as many times as they wish between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. on their designated day at the restaurant. Supporters must show a flyer. Groups can earn 10 percent to 20 percent of sales, depending on the number of flyers that are brought in. Note: If fewer than 20 flyers are brought back, the group will get no donation.
For the Flapjack Fundraiser, groups are charged $5 for each ticket they sell; they keep all proceeds above that cost (recommended selling price is $10). Flapjack Fundraisers are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday or Sunday. A minimum of eight volunteers are required to act as greeters and servers and to bus tables. Additional volunteers may be needed based on your ticket sales. The breakfast includes pancakes, syrup, butter, scrambled eggs, bacon, orange juice, and coffee.
